1978 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide ANNIVERSARY EDITION, 1978 Harley-Davidson 1200 FLH Anniversary Edition. A special edition Electra Glide designed personally by Willie G. Davidson to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Harley-Davidson, this is one of a limited edition only 2120 bikes. This is an extremely original example, having only 5600 original miles on the odometer! Show judges could use this bike as a reference! Offered for sale by the third owner, having recently purchased it from the second owner, who maintained it regularly for the last 36 years, having purchased the motorcycle in West Virginia when it was one year old. The plugs have only been changed twice, and spare parts include the old ones. The windshield has been refurbished to original clarity, but the motorcycle is otherwise completely original vintage in nearly new condition. The bike came dressed out in black, highlighted in gold. There is a gold and black Anniversary nameplate. The front fender, gas tanks, fairing, saddlebags, and tour pak were all pinstriped by hand in gold at the factory. The wheels are the original 16-spoked cast wheels, finished in gold. The seat is the original black leather Comfort Flex that came on the bike. Everything on the bike is factory original, with very little signs of age. The original Owners Manual , spark plugs, and some spares are included.
